He who saves one life saves the world.
Many know this quote from the Jewish Talmud as it was featured in the wonderful film, Schindler’s List. I was reminded of it today when I attended the 4:00 PM Mass at Saint Theresa Church in Billerica, MA. We had a guest presider, Father Bernard Olszewski (fellow Polishman btw), Senior Outreach Priest for Cross Catholic Outreach, which helps, sustains and saves millions of lives of our Third World sisters and brothers. He described many cases of abject poverty he’s come across, but one in particular struck me: parents having to decide which child eats today. So I kindly ask you to check out Cross Catholic Outreach and, if it’s within your means, to make a donation. Along those lines, my daughters and I have sponsored children via World Vision since 2018 and it has been a gift to know we’re doing our little part in making a world of a difference for a few. I highly recommend World Vision as well. So, if you can, save the world. Thanks for your time and God bless!
